83, of Central Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 23, 2020 at HopeHealth Hospice Care in Providence.
She was the loving wife of Philip Forand.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Victoria Choquette, and the sister of her late siblings, Frank, Neal, Robert, Audrey, Barbara and Merrill.
She is survived by her children: Michael Forand and his wife, Gaye, of Bellingham, MA, Craig Forand of Central Falls, RI, Bonnie-Jean Godin and her husband, Ralph, of Burrillville, RI, Keri Forand and Tracy Forand of Central Falls, RI.
She leaves 8 grandchildren: Amie, Grace, Justin, Brittany, Joseph, Michael, Jr., Matthew and Jessica and 5 great-grandchildren: Marleigh, Brealynn, Savannah, Tia and Jett.
In addition, she is survived by her brother, Ronald Choquette and his wife, Deon, of Bellingham, MA, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She loved spending time with her family and playing Bingo with her friends. Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was an avid Tom Brady, New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. She enjoyed camping, traveling and vacationing.
Janice's generosity, hospitality and caring for others was something she practiced her whole life. Her home was always opened to others and she welcomed everyone with open arms into her home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. A funeral service will be held at Holy Spirit Parish (formerly St. Matthew's Church), 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls, RI on Tuesday, December 1 at 9:30 am.
